An experiential indoor market unlike any other in Western Australia will open in Busselton in Spring 2021. Ground-breaking at the Origins Market site took place yesterday (Wednesday 1 July) and developers have now commenced site works on this exciting and innovative project designed to have great appeal for both tourists and locals.
Calling for information about Busselton’s Ballaarat Steam Engine
The City of Busselton is calling out to the public for any memories, photos, videos and stories related to Busselton’s Ballaarat steam engine which marks 150 years in 2021. It is the oldest Australian built steam locomotive still in existence, and WA's first operating locomotive engine.
Margaret River Region Open Studios Rescheduled
One of WA’s most popular arts events, Margaret River Region Open Studios, will return in September after being forced to postpone due to COVID-19. 103 artists from around the region will be opening their studio doors to welcome in art lovers and share their passion. A beautiful nature-based playground and community gathering space in Dunsborough, in WA's Margaret River region, telling stories of the Wardandi people and the fish traps they once placed here. It is of the first big acknowledgements of country in the City of Busselton and for Dunsborough. A massive community effort from vision to build made it possible.
