Luxurious boutique cruise company Kimberley Quest has rare availability on two expeditions from March 2022 for a bucket list holiday exploring the unspoilt natural beauty of the Kimberley region.

There are cabins available to book for the 21 Day Beyond Adventure cruise departing from Kununurra on 8 March 2022. The three-week adventure allows guests to experience the spectacular Kimberley waterfall season in all its glory and the enormity and diversity of the Kimberley coastline. Prices start from $16,995 per person.

For adventure seekers looking for a shorter getaway, the 8 Day Northern Quest cruise is ideal. Departing from Kununurra on 10 May 2022, guests cruise through the northern half of the Kimberley, from Wyndham to the Mitchell River, including a helicopter flight over the Buccaneer Archipelago and Mitchell Falls. Fees start from $12,350 per person.

General Manager Clare Marquis said the last-minute availability was due to WA’s ongoing border restrictions, providing discerning West Australian travellers a rare opportunity.

“Our tour schedule is usually sold out many months in advance, so it usually requires much forward planning.

“With the West Australian border opening delayed, we now have some availability and would love to share our unique Kimberley cruising and tour experience with West Australians seeking adventure and a connection with this incredible region,” she said.

The Kimberley Quest is a nine cabin, 18-passenger luxury cruising vessel, complete with a shaded fast boat (the only Kimberley operator to provide this option) and three additional custom-built tenders, providing guests comfort and time to experience the breathtaking waterways and landscapes between Broome and Wyndham. Cruising by rivers, scenic gorges and waterfalls, there are regular opportunities to disembark and swim, hike and fish in this majestic, otherworldly region of Western Australia.

Highlights of the Kimberley Quest experience include an onboard helicopter for private tours, a spa on the sundeck, three alfresco decks with outdoor dining areas and an open wheelhouse giving passengers the chance to sit with the captain and learn more about the Kimberley from a prime vantage point.

The Kimberley Quest is designed to be a relaxing, luxe way to experience the Kimberley, a region unseen by most Australians. For those wishing to get out and about, there are tender and fishing excursions, opportunities to swim in freshwater holes and humpback viewing from July to September plus tours with our experienced local naturalist Tim Willing.

Meals are prepared by onboard chefs, and offer an array of fresh fish, seafood, the highest quality meats, freshly baked breads and some of the best local produce and the vessel is licensed.

Kimberley Quest has been Advanced Eco Tourism certified for more than 15 years and has won numerous tourism awards.
