Hillarys Harbour Apartments on Perth’s Sunset Coast have been renamed Nautica Residences Hillarys, following Nautica Residences by Seashells taking over management of the short stay accommodation in April.
This addition to Nautica Residence’s portfolio doubles the brand’s short-stay accommodation listings in less than a year of launching.
Seashells Hospitality Group CEO Gareth Thomas said the WA-owned organisation launched the Nautica Residences brand in July 2021 with 24 apartments in Fremantle.
“In less than a year we have a combined total of 50 apartments under Nautica management in Fremantle, Mandurah, Scarborough and now Hillarys – all sought-after locations for leisure and business travellers – and capacities have been strong,” he said.
“We recognised a gap in Western Australia’s short-stay accommodation market.
“Nautica Residences is a managed apartment service that suits owners who prefer to have more access to their own property and be less restricted when they require it for their own use.
“It combines the best of both worlds for owners – professional management by Seashells Hospitality Group which has 25 years’ experience in WA’s serviced apartment market, and catering to individual owners’ specific needs, allowing ‘set and forget’ arrangements for short stay use.

Nautica Residences Hillarys is located on the water in the vibrant hub of Hillarys Boat Harbour. Guests enjoy modern two and three-bedroom apartments and a couples spa suite, onsite reception, swimming pool, secure undercover parking and most have views across the ocean or marina.
Nautica Residences General Manager Ben Chenery said Nautica Residences Hillarys was proving popular for staycation visits, for families making the most of the close proximity to Rottnest ferry departures, AQWA Aquarium of Western Australia and beachside holidays.
